Tricare Body Mind and Soul Ltd

Rehabilitation

Tricare Body Mind and Soul Ltd has an established in-home physiotherapy service and employs a dedicated and experienced group of skilled physiotherapists. Our philosophy of rehabilitation and care is based on being proactive and dynamic with a hands-on approach towards early recovery and return to full function and work. Our service is patient centered and is aimed at addressing the cause of the problem through an evidence based approach to rehabilitation.

Our highly trained physiotherapists are state registered, fully qualified and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health and Care Professionals Council. They have a minimum of 10 years of experience in NHS and private sector and have extensive experience in treating a variety of Musculoskeletal and Orthopedic conditions.

We work closely with Orthopaedic Consultants and provide rehabilitation in a timely manner in order to maximize recovery and prevent complications. As experienced physiotherapists with advanced orthopaedic knowledge and skills, we understand specific post-operative protocols and can make sure surgeons instructions are followed through. We have an extensive range of skills in treating various joint arthroplasties performed both in NHS and private sectors.

Along side the above service we also provide orthopaedic and assistive aids to enhance your recovery. Our treatments can be individualized for those with individual goals in mind. We can work with you to achieve your goals and to your timescales where feasible.

Some of the common surgical conditions that we can help you with include;

Hip Joint Replacements

Hip replacement surgery is a procedure in which a doctor surgically removes a painful hip joint with arthritis and replaces it with an artificial joint often made from metal and plastic components. It usually is done when all other treatment options have failed to provide adequate pain relief. The procedure should relieve a painful hip joint, making walking easier.

Knee Joint Replacements

The procedure of knee joint replacement is called a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). This surgery involves replacing the existing knee joint with a manmade one. Orthopedic surgeons replace knee joints to end pain, stiffness, and loss of function.

Shoulder Surgeries

Your shoulder is the most flexible joint in your body. It allows you to place and rotate your arm in many positions in front, above, to the side, and behind your body. This flexibility also makes your shoulder susceptible to instability and injury.

Depending on the nature of the problem, nonsurgical methods of treatment often are recommended before surgery. However, in some instances, delaying the surgical repair of a shoulder can increase the likelihood that the problem will be more difficult to treat later. Early, correct diagnosis and treatment of shoulder problems can make a significant difference in the long run.

Fractures of the Upper limb and Lower Limb

A bone fracture  is a medical condition in which there is a damage in the continuity of the bone. A bone fracture can be the result of high force impact or stress, or a minimal trauma injury as a result of certain medical conditions that weaken the bones, such as osteoporosis, bone cancer, or osteogenesis imperfecta, where the fracture is then properly termed a pathologic fracture.
